JOIN OUR FAMILY

About our Waitlist & Process

At Queenstown, we take great pride in treating our puppy owners like family. We love receiving pictures and videos of our puppies, hearing about their daily activities, and organizing playdates with our Berner families. Our goal is to ensure that our puppy owners feel comfortable asking us questions or seeking advice, and we are always available to provide support whenever needed. However, we understand that not everyone wants this level of interaction, and that is perfectly fine! In your search for a Berner, it is crucial to find a breeder with whom you share a good connection, and whose style matches yours. Your breeder can be an invaluable resource because they have extensive knowledge about their line and can answer many questions you may have. We encourage you to research thoroughly, speak to other breeders, and find the best match for you.

We are a small breeder, and we typically have 1-1.5 litters per year. This allows us to devote our time and attention to finding the best homes for our puppies. When our litters are born, we already have families ready and waiting for them. While our waitlist is not always first-come-first-serve, we do try to honor this when possible. Many variables come into play, including the number of puppies in the litter and their genders, as well as timing. However, we firmly believe that the right puppy is worth the wait, and they usually come along at the perfect time. If you are interested in joining our family, please fill out an application, and let's get to know each other!

1

Application

We carefully review all applications to find owners who meet our criteria.

We are searching for families who have an abundance of love to give, plenty of time to dedicate to their new furry family member, and who are looking for a breeder that will be involved in their dog's life. Having prior experience with Berners is a huge plus, but for first-time Berner families, we prioritize those who are eager to learn about the breed and its unique needs.

We are highly selective in our process because our top priority is finding the right homes for our puppies. We believe that every Berner deserves a loving and committed family who will provide them with the best possible care and attention. By being selective, we can ensure that our puppies go to homes where they will thrive, and their owners will be happy with their new furry family members.

Phone Call

Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you to schedule a call.

This is a great way to get to know one another and ask plenty of questions to determine if we are a good fit.  If you are a couple, we request that both of you are available for the phone call.

We can also help connect you with other reputable and local breeders that we know of. We strongly support responsible breeding practices and suggest connecting with your local BMDCA club to connect with other breeders and Berner owners. This is a great way to become part of the Berner community and participate in different events.

3

Meet & Greet

Our next step is to arrange an in-person meeting.

This is a great way to get to know you and your  family better. Additionally, this will give you the opportunity to meet our Berners. We encourage you to bring your children and any furry family members along as well.

Once we've had the chance to get to know you, we will add you to our waitlist and stay in touch with you. If we find that we're not a good fit for each other, we'll continue to assist you in your search for a Berner. We're always available to provide information and resources on Bernese Mountain Dogs, as we're passionate about the breed and want the best for every Berner.
